Seoul

We decided that we needed a weekend out of Busan so we planned a last min. trip to Seoul. Thanks to the recommendation of the Lonely Planet we found a hotel in a great location for $50.00 a night. We stayed in an area of the city called Insadong. The streets were filled with shops selling antiques, old books, paintings, ceramics and traditional Korean costume. There were tons of cool little shops filled with handmade jewelry and art work. I really loved this area of town. Check out the pics from our trip.

We had to fight to take a photo by this bright pink tree- very popular place to snap a photo.
We were very surprised how cute and quaint could co-exist with the concrete economic engine of Korea.
Little garden
Namsan Park. We took the cable car to the top to Seoul Tower to get a better view of the city.

Lots of neat art work!

We rented a two seater and took a stroll along the river.

Checking out the cafes and bars.
You can find a modern cafe inside a traditional Korean house.

Justin enjoying a long island!

What happens when you don't have public garbage cans. Drives me crazy!
