I have been a horrible blogger lately, but I plan to get back on track and caught up!
We had a great weekend! Friday night I attempted to make us Jim Dak for dinner. This is a Korean dish that Justin and I both love. I found a recipe online and followed it word for word, ingredient for ingredient but it did not turn out as I hoped or expected. It was however tasty so I guess that is what really mattered!
It was interesting shopping for all the ingredients. Cheong Ju is apparently Korean rice wine but when I asked where I could find it, I received a blank stare. After repeating "cheong ju" many times she finally got it "cheong ju, okay okay" and showed me its location.
Saturday afternoon Justin and I volunteered at a orphanage called Boys Town, there are about 500 boys there. Justin played basketball and made kites with the older boys and I made kites with a group of the 4-5 year old boys. We made the kites together and then went outside to fly them! I think they all had a really good time!
Saturday night was the Busan Fire Work Festival on Gwangalli beach. A friend of ours Gavin, hosted a get together on his roof top. The firework show was amazing and by far the best show I have seen.
A new friend Mark from the UK.
A new friend Elissa and I. We had a blast together all day!
Best fireworks show ever...hands down!
