In case you missed it this happened on Tuesday, hundreds of miles from Busan but still alarming. Oddly, none of the Korean teachers have said anything to me about it which makes me think that it is not a big deal, but who really knows. I remember back when the Cheonan was sunk it was the same sort of deal, no one was talking about it. In fact, on Tuesday I was killing time on Facebook, when I read a comment of a fellow teacher mentioning that it was a bummer that the won had dropped so close to payday because of the North. I was confused at first so I checked the news, I gasped and mentioned it to my co-teacher and she hardly looked up. I was like ummm bombs have hit South Korean land and she made mention of some deadline she needed to meet. She has not mentioned anything since! So bizzare if you ask me, but that is just the Korean way! I hope they are right and there is no need to worry!
