Last week was my last English broadcast, I think I did a total of 27. I remember back in March when they asked me if I would introduce myself during the English broadcast and I agreed. What I didn't realize was I had actually agreed to do the English broadcast for the entire year, every Wednesday morning. I acted shocked that I had agreed to this and my co-teacher said "You should know details before you agree in the future" and I remember thinking "Yeah, well you should be more clear". Anyways, it ended up not being so bad. Each week I would teach the students a simple phrase like "Can you help me please?" or "Where are you going?". I felt silly doing it alone so I created Sarah and Tegan to help me out. The kids went nuts for these puppets, especially Tegan. If Tegan did not appear on the broadcast they would stop me in the halls "Teacher, I can't see Tegan on your show", so cute! Actually, Tegan had some drama this year. Chris teacher, the native Talk scholar borrowed Tegan to demonstrate the word "eat" to the students and fed Tegan REAL pizza and soaked him in pizza sauce and totally destroyed Tegan. I told the students, Tegan had to have surgery and I remade him! Hello, you don't feed a paper bag puppet pizza! What was he thinking???
Meet Sarah!
and meet Tegan!
Sarah and Tegan are actually twin sisters and have a band that I like!
Broadcasting Studio, it's the real deal!
Mostly for my own memories sake, I took these pictures. All year I have been teaching with Thomas, Julie, Lisa, Kevin and Zeeto! These characters are quit funny!
This post cracks me up! I'll never forget how pissed you were when Chris force fed Tegan pizza. Igo!!
