Lotte Giants

Fighting to the TOP the Busan Lotte Giants! It's baseball season so Justin and I headed to the baseball game Sunday afternoon. It was a cold and windy day but that did not hold the fans back. There is a section called the "Exciting Zone" sadly we did not know that so we were not in that zone. But it was fun to watch because there are cheerleaders at baseball games in Korea and they really get the fans pumped up. Also, people pack in newspapers to make noise makers. What I really love is you can bring in your own food. There are tons of women trying to sell you boxes of chicken, soju, beer and everything else you can think of before you head into the game. I saw people packing in bags of groceries, McDonald's food and boxes of beer. At the start of the 9th inning I said "Let's go to beat the crowd to the subway" since the Giants were down and I did not think a come back was in the future. I could not believe it when we heard the Giants came back in extra innings and won the game! Bummer, we missed an exciting ending, but we will be back again!

Justin's game review: "Korean baseball isn’t played at the level of perfection found in the MLB.  It’s not uncommon for a routine grounder to be missed, a catcher to overthrow a pickoff, and a team give up 6-8 runs in a single inning.  Overall, it's a much more exciting game for fans to watch.  Garcia, Garcia, GGGGAAARRRRCCCCIIIIAAA!"

Towards the end of the game everyone gets a plastic bag. The bag is to put your trash in but seems to be the tradition first to wear on your head like a bird until the end of the game. Sorta funny!!

Justin trying some "spam fish", it is processed fish. My co-teacher's husband is actually in the business of making this product. I was not brave enough to try it after Justin's comments! Instead, I ordered a nacho cheese hot dog, more up my alley. The bad news is they loaded it with mustard! Who puts mustard on a nacho cheese dog???
