Visit from Mom and Dad!

It was such a blast having my parents visit! It was a sad day today having to say goodbye especially since it will be at least 9 months before I see them again! :( Thank goodness for Skype. I was pretty bummed when I came home from school and they were not here to greet me.

We kept so busy while they were here, there was no time for blogging. I am going to do back and post about all our adventures so stay tuned! :)

The first night we headed to Seomyeon, which is considered to be the "heart" of the city. I would say there are many "hearts" as this city is HUGE! We wanted to take Mom and Dad to a BBQ restaurant for their first Korean meal, BBQ is our fav! We wondered around until we came across a BBQ restaurant that appeared to be pretty busy. The menu was in Korean so we did the usual and glanced around to see what others were eating. The table next to us had a dish with pork and some veggies so we decided to go with that. Justin says "are you sure that is what you want?" We agreed and he shut the menu. After consuming pretty much the entire dish, leaving the fat behind Justin asks, “ Do you want to know what you just ate?” I was thinking “Oh great”. Well my parent’s first Korean meal ended up being pig’s feet. How delightful! No matter how tasty the food is I get hung up on things such as eating pig’s feet. It does not seem right! I will admit it was not too bad just really fatty! No pics of the pig's feet since it was consumed by the time I found out it was not your average pork.

Cheers, to arriving safe and sound! Parents first shot of soju.

Justin rolled his ankle playing soccer with his school the day my parents arrived. His teacher recommended seeking Oriental Medicine for a quick recovery. We found a clinic and Justin was able to receive acupuncture for no cost. Unreal, the doctor said he was not in it for the money but to help people heal.
