The 2nd week of summer camp ended today and I am exhausted! 3rd and 4th graders have about 100 times as much energy as I have but they were a really sweet group of kids and we had a lot of fun. I could seriously do anything and they would say "Teacher so fun". We talked about our favorite things, what we like and don't like, body parts and animals. Today we did the balloon drop since it was such a hit with the 5th and 6th graders.
Lisa, Tim, Billy, Jack, Jerry and Kevin.
Jerry as in Tom and Jerry!
Working hard on their egg baskets.
Michael "Jackson". This little guy was such a character and every time I said his name he would say "Jackson".
Billy!
Doughnut eyes! Kevin is a 4th grader and his English is remarkable. Some of the things that came out of his mouth during summer camp were so cute. On Thursday we watched the video "The little old lady who swallowed a fly". After the video he says to me "Teacher, this video is my style, my style is funny and comic and this is so funny!" How cute is that?
Jessica and Helen.
Most creative basket by Ryan.
Figuring out the result of the drop.
Whoo! Kevin's egg survived! Quote from Kevin during prediction phase "Teacher my alien egg baby no smashy, survivey."
Sally's turn! She picked the name Sally but insisted on spelling it with an "e" Selly. Alice is up next!
Jack preparing for the drop!
Hip, Hip Hurray! My alien egg baby survived!
Smashed!
The results are in and these girls eggs did not survive!
