Seoul is where it is at in South Korea! Justin and I just love Seoul as it has so much more to offer, I mean it is a city of 10.3 million, Busan is just a wimpy 3.6 million! We went to Seoul this weekend via airplane. I decided that flying makes it a much more official vacation, you actually feel like you are going somewhere. Fortunately, the airport is not too far from our house and the flight to Seoul is the same price as the high-speed train and 1/3 shorter. Much better option! We went to Seoul to escape Busan but really so we could go to Everland which is the Disneyland of Korea! I also love Seoul as I mentioned before because of the all the cute boutiques, art galleries and cafes!
Cute stores! I could seriously shop all day!
We stayed at the Bebop guesthouse in the ‘Hongik University’, district. Hongdae is considered to be one of the most hip areas in Seoul. It is packed with cafes, pubs, restaurants, boutiques, clubs & art and it draws people from a wide range of backgrounds, especially university students and artists.
The living room. There were people staying from all over the world.
Not sure what it is called but seems like something that would be cooked up at a bachelor pad. It contained hot dog, spam, beans, an assortment of veggies and quite frankly I am not sure what else. Needless to say I needed this cone to wash it down.
Heavenly- Strawberry, chocolate swirl soft serve, even more heavenly after the hot dog hodgepodge dinner!
Really cool art gallery selling art work from local artists.
This must be something they teach at orientation. Every Everland employee, including all the vendors were doing this wave. We were just cracking up! When we would get on a ride they would do the "wave" and say "have good time!"
Feeding the parakeets!
The world's steepest wooden roller coaster! Not sure if that if fact or fiction, Korea is known to make these sort of claims. Anywho, we waited in line for over an hour to get to the front of the line and have them close the line due to a light sprinkle. It was the best attraction at the park and we put it off to build up our anticipation. We could not believe it so we washed our sorrows away in the beer garden. About an hour later it was up an running and we were able to ride it twice! It was just the thrill we were seeking.
A small section of Everland was a zoo. We were getting a kick out of the animals they were featuring. That's right, guinea pigs! They also had a beaver, skunks, porcupines and other various animals.
